To qualify, the energy-saving equipment must fall under the List of Approved Energy-saving Equipment and Devices. If you qualify for this category, please refer to the following procedures for obtaining a certificate of approval.

How to Obtain a Certificate of Approval

For Category B application, companies have to obtain a certificate of approval from PSB Corp.   The applicant shall forward this certificate together with the application form and supporting invoices to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) when making tax submission. The applicant shall also forward a copy of the certificate to the National Environment Agency (NEA).

To obtain a certificate of approval, submit the following documents together with the application form for Category B to PSB Corp for verification:

• Equipment catalogue/brochure

• Test report of equipment from recognised laboratories

Test Report

Reports from the following laboratories are acceptable:

• SAC-SINGLAS accredited laboratories

• SAC-SINGLAS-MRA partners’ accredited laboratories

• PSB Corp’s MOU partners’ laboratories

The contents of the test report shall include the following:

• Description of the equipment tested (brand, model no., rated capacity, manufacturer)

• Description of test method

• Data to substantiate the claim that the equipment is energy-saving.

Note: Any test report exceeding 3 years old would not be accepted.
