Towards Performing Energy Smart Hotels

The Energy Smart Building Labelling Programme aims to grant recognition to best practices in building energy efficiency. The Label serves as a sign of excellence and hence creates values for the awarded buildings. In addition, it enables facility managers to set targets and work towards better energy efficiency by employing resources more effectively.
Energy Smart Hotel, was developed with the purpose of bringing the prospering hospitality industry in line with the nation’s “green” strategies. It is also an effort to stretch this energy efficiency initiative, which has already achieved some success, to a broader scope.
The objectives of the seminar are to:

To update participants on the trends of Energy Conservation Efforts and Energy Usage in Commercial Buildings in Singapore, with a Special Focus on Hotels

To disseminate findings from recent studies on hotel energy performance, Energy Indicators and Benchmarks
